2025
Open Enrollment

for most Piedmont locations and in-region remote team members

What’s new for 2025?

Our focus is on empowering you and your family to be well—physically, financially and emotionally—to help you and your loved ones when you need it. We’re committed to making a positive difference in every life we touch by providing quality care and meaningful support to our team members.

  • For coverage in our MyHealth360 medical plans:
    • The Piedmont Choice Plan and the Piedmont Exclusive Plan will stay the same for 2025.
    • Prescription drugs will be administered directly by Express Scripts to keep coverage affordable for you and Piedmont. A new Cigna ID card will be required to fill prescriptions in 2025. You’ll also receive advanced notice if any of your medications are impacted.
    • Enhanced access to fertility, pregnancy and postpartum benefits will be available through Progyny (beginning Jan. 1, 2025) with coverage for IVF, IUI, fertility preservation and support for menopause and midlife care.
  • We’re introducing new value-add benefit options available only through your local benefits counselor:
    • Legal support through MetLife offers unlimited consultations on most legal matters. You must actively enroll during Open Enrollment for coverage to begin on Jan. 1, 2025.
    • Identity Theft Protection through Norton LifeLock provides privacy monitoring, security for your personal devices and up to $3 million of coverage for each eligible family member.
    • Pet Insurance through MetLife covers dogs, cats and other animals with policies up to $25,000 and offers access to routine care services and 24/7 telehealth.
  • Access to Medicare navigation support through SmartConnect helps Medicare-eligible team members and their dependents with plan comparisons, selection and enrollment—at no cost to you.
  • Expanded Spouse Life Insurance coverage will now allow team members and Piedmont-employed spouses to cover each other.
  • When enrolling in Child Life Insurance, you’ll need to specify which dependents you’d like to cover.
  • Review the 2025 Open Enrollment Checklist.
  • If you’re enrolled in a MyHealth360 medical, dental or vision plan, participation in Open Enrollment is NOT mandatory to continue coverage through Piedmont in 2025.
  • You must enroll in a Health Care or Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) if you want to have funds available for 2025.
  • If you’re currently enrolled in Dependent Child Life Insurance or plan to enroll, you must actively elect this benefit to have coverage in 2025.
  • Think about your Supplemental and Spouse Life Insurance coverage. If you’re increasing your coverage by more than one times your annual base salary, you must complete and submit the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form sent to your Piedmont email following Open Enrollment to be considered for coverage.
  • Consider enrolling in any value-add benefits: Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness, Whole Life, Accident, Legal, Identity Theft Protection and Pet Insurance (all of these benefits are available only through your local benefits counselor).
  • Decide if you’d like to participate in Piedmont’s PTO Cash-In program, if eligible (payable in March 2025).

Ready to enroll?

Log in to PeopleSoft Employee Self-Service (ESS) using your (1) Employee/Network ID and (2) Password. In addition to enrolling in benefits, please review your personal email address, phone number, home/mailing address and emergency contacts.

Forgot your PeopleSoft ESS password or need technical assistance? Call 404-605-3000.

While on Piedmont’s network, visit the Piedmont Empowered intranet and search “ESS Job Aid” for instructions on accessing PeopleSoft ESS from home using secure remote access.

You’ll need the Social Security numbers and dates of birth for any new dependents you wish to enroll. In addition to enrolling in benefits, please ensure that your personal email address, phone number, home/mailing address, Social Security number and emergency contacts are up to date.

A final confirmation statement will be emailed to you after Open Enrollment ends if you successfully submitted benefit elections in PeopleSoft ESS.

A new Cigna ID card for medical and prescription drug coverage will be mailed to homes about six weeks after enrollment ends. You will not receive a new ID card for dental or vision coverage unless you’re enrolling for the first time or you changed plans.

Existing FSA cards are reloaded with funds (if you re-elected) and are good until the expiration date. If you elected FSA with no prior election, you can expect to receive a HealthEquity Visa card in the mail about six weeks after enrollment ends.
